About Cristian Bueno

For Cristian, the journey began when he discovered his passion for cars at the age of 17, igniting his drive for everything automotive. Although his father faced financial challenges at the time, he still wanted to gift Cristian a car, prompting him to search for used options on Craigslist. After weeks of browsing, Cristian stumbled upon a flooded 2008 Nissan Altima with a salvage title, and he knew it was the one. Despite initial reservations about its condition, Cristian convinced his father of its potential, and they purchased it for $1,850 after negotiations.

With limited knowledge of car mechanics, Cristian embarked on a month-long journey of research and hands-on learning to repair the flooded engine with guidance from his father. Although the original engine failed after just two months, they sourced a donor engine from a salvage yard and successfully performed the swap at home. Through this experience, Cristian discovered his love for restoring broken machinery and caring for vehicles, eventually leading him to pursue automotive detailing.

Fast forward to today, at 25 years old, Cristian credits that Nissan Altima for shaping his path. It instilled in him a passion for cars and detailing, eventually leading him to establish his own detailing business, ONX Auto Detailing & Wash. In 2022, he had the opportunity to detail cars at the SEMA SHOW, further fueling his passion for the industry. Upon his return, he joined forces with Erick and Mike Burke as a part-time team member at Sunstoppers Houston store.

Notably, Cristian had the privilege of detailing a lawnmower gifted to Rick Ross before his second annual car show, showcasing his dedication to the craft and passion for automotive excellence.
